I have a H25 receiver and this morning we turned it on and the screen stayed blank. After an hour I unplugged it and it started to reboot and said it detected a problem and I hit continue. It then showed an error 22-250, I'm sure of the 22 which is a storage error but the 250 I think is correct. I hit continue and it said formatting storage device. It went through that process and then started working OK. Several hours later it went to a black screen and after an RBR got stuck on running receiver self check. I swapped out another H-25 in a spare bedroom and it works fine. I didn't think the H-25 had a storage device so how could it format it. I will call Directv tomorrow and get them to send me another one but I wonder what went wrong with it. It's several years old. All of my other receivers are working fine including a HR-44 and a HR-24.

I have already called and they are sending me a new unit. I was just curious about how does a unit without storage have a storage error and and then format that non existent storage.
I was wondering about that. I know some stuff is on some kind of flash drive, but how does that make it possible for a "storage problem"? My idea of a storage error is a bad HDD. I've never had any other problems relating to storage.
